Nice work. R.E.M.'s too high and The Dead Milkmen are too low, though.

Joan Jett should be higher, but all in all, good job.

MJ at 31??? Show some respect, yo!
And Huey Lewis deserves better than 41.

Impressed. Looks like this took a lot of time and effort.

Just now stumbled onto this list. I think it easily could have been pushed to 100 songs. Not on the list were some of my favorites: God Gave Rock And Roll To You 2 - KISS, Rock Candy - Montrose, Rockin Is Ma Business - The Four Horsemen, I like To Rock - April Wine, and Rock in America, just to name a few. Those easily should have been on the list before some of the songs from pop & blues acts that did make the list.

#19: It's actually Bill Haley and HIS Comets. Just found this blog, looking forward to exploring it.

I found this list through a google search and it inspired me to make my own playlist of songs about Rock N Roll. Here are some I put into my playlist that you did not have on you list:

God Gave Rock N Roll To You II - KISS
Rockin' Into The Night - .38 Special
Old Time Rock And Roll - Bob Seger
Rock And Roll Never Forgets - Bob Seger
Let It Rock - Bon Jovi
I've Got A Rock N Roll Heart - Eric Clapton
Rock And Roll Part 2 - Gary Glitter
Rock And Roll Is King - ELO
Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through - Meat Loaf
Rock Me Tonite - Billy Squier
Rock Of Ages - Def Leppard
Rockstar - Nickelback

No way to Nickelback or a convicted child molester/one-hit wonder...

#22- the Billy Idol song is actually called "Cradle of Love", not "Rock The Cradle". Doesn't belong on the list.
